“... supreme quality is cheap,
whatever the price one pays for it.”

William James

We’ve all heard that old cliché about a writer or artist being asked why s/he doesn’t get a ‘real’ job. In reality, writing and designing are among the hardest of all jobs. There are no formulae, no buttons to press and out pour words or pictures. We are faced with a blank sheet of paper – or computer screen today – and pray for divine inspiration to come up with something new and different. Something that will sell our client’s product, service or whatever to make the company richer. Brainstorming and thinking can take hours. And all our time-consuming work is tailored for just one client. The value cannot be under-estimated.

Our cost structures

  • An estimate per project is given up front, preferably based on a full, written brief.
  • If ‘research’ is required to complete the brief – information from Internet, for instance, our time is charged for.
  • Should a project be delayed or stalled, work in progress will be charged for at the end of each month.
  • If work meets the brief but not accepted, a 60% rejection fee will be charged.
  • Should a project be terminated during progress, a termination fee will be charged, based on work done to date.
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days.
  • The Roaring Mouse is not a VAT vendor.

“There is hardly anything in the world that some man [sic]
cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people
who consider price only are this man’s lawful prey.”

John Ruskin
