Important dates for 2015

Our calendars will have most of these dates marked on them to make it easier for you to plan the year ahead.

Important dates such as Public Holidays are filled in as well as Religious Holidays and observances allowing us to make provision for these instances ahead of time, and any parent will know that the most important dates to a child other than their birthday and Christmas is when the school holidays begin.

Here is a list of some of the important dates for 2015 including events which are expected to take place:

  • January 1 2015 will be on a Thursday
  • March 20 - A solar eclipse will be visible above the North Atlantic
  • March 21 – is Human Rights Day in South Africa
  • April 3 – Good Friday
  • April6 – Family Day
  • May 1 -Workers Day
  • May 7 is set aside for a general election in the United Kingdom
  • June 16 – Youth Day
  • August 9 -Womans Day
  • September 24 – Heritage Day
  • December 16 – Day of Reconciliation
  • December 25 Christmas Day
  • December 26 – Day of Goodwill
