What happened in 2012?
The year 2012 is going to be a very interesting year,
full of fun, intrigue and mystery. People have tried to predict a lot
of things about 2012, but nobody really knows what is going to happen.
One of the most important things happening in 2012 though are:
- The London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Games.
- Officialy known as: The Games of the XXX Olympiad
The year 2012 is going to be an exciting year in London. An estimated
of 50 000 visitors, is said to watch the Olympic sailing events on a
large screen, in Weymouth Beach in London. The games are scheduled to
take place from the 27 of July to 12 August 2012. Next year is going
to be an exciting year.
2012 Earth Summit
All around the world, summits are held in the name if change, or bettering
our way of living. One of these many summits, is the 2012 Earth Summit.
There have been 3 earth summits that have been held in three countries.
In 2012 the 4th one will be held in Rio de Janeiro. The event will begin
on the 14th of may till the 16th. The (UNCSD)UN Conference on Sustainable
Development also called
The objectives are to:
- Assess progress on internationally agreed goals
- To address new and emerging challenges
Making sure we have a greener economy and healthy environment, will
do some good in the long run. That is what the summit is about, it is
to make sure that we preserve the earth and all its natural goodness.
Golf: The Masters
This prestigious tournament, has been around since 1934. Woods and
Mickleson are one of the few masters to have graced this championship,
till today it remains one of the best golf tournaments in the world.
2012 is the year that this 4day tournament will take place, it will
be held at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. It will start
on the 5th of April to the 8th. This is an event that golf fans will
not want to miss. You can start booking for tickets online. 2012 is
going to be a very busy year.
