event taking place in Johannesburg from 4 to 6 February, the outcomes

In April

African constitution, the theme of the conference is “Perspectives
on rights, values and accountability. Definitely a must for educators.
In August
the international union of architects have their annual conference at
the Durban International Conference Centre in order to celebrate the
African profession as a meaningful contributor to world architecture.

What is happening in 2014?
2014 promises to be incredibly exciting on so many
levels, there are too many world events taking place to list them all,
but further space exploration is a definite and the political arena
will remain ever interesting.
Sporting events on the South African calendar include
the Absa Currycup matches starting in the latter half of the year and
if you haven't eneterd for the Ironman South Africa challenge yet, your
time is running out. The Ironman challenge takes place on 6 April 2014.
Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia
The countdown to Winter Olympics 2014 has already begun. Sochi, Russia
is to play host to the games beginning on 7 February and ending on 23
February 2014. The program, although keeping with the traditional has
opened itself up to include 3 new events of a more youthful nature.
Open to men and women, the inclusion of ski slopestyle, snowboard slopestyle
and snowboard was met with anticipation. The IOC president expressed
his pleasure at the inclusion of these events “as they add further
youthful appeal to our already action packed programme.”
The longest Torch Relay in Winter Olympic Games History
The 2014 Organising Committee is planning a Torch Relay that will start
on 7 October 2013 and cover
- 65 000km of Russian soil, with
- 14 000 Torchbearers over
- 123 days,
It seems the organisers are looking to set a record of their own.
The World Small Animal Veterinary Congress takes place from 16 to
19 September 2014
The conference is aimed at uniting small animal practitioners for the
great African vet adventure in South Africa. Hosting a number of top
speakers, WSAVA presents a dynamic program promoting small animal veterinary
science and welfare.
Over 80 renowned speakers from across the globe, including South Africa
will be delivering presentations and speeches at the 39th World Small
Animal Congress.
Held in Cape Town this the perfect oppportunity to enhance your veterinary
network and knowledge, by sharing the experience with at least 2500
colleagues, practical workshops and pre and post congress tours.
This conference will nor only enlighten and inform you on development
in the veterinary field but you will have opportunity to:
