Sanlam Investments Food Wine Design FairPublished: November, 2012 In exactly one week the third Sanlam Investments FoodWineDesign Fair opens on the rooftop of the Hyde Park Corner shopping centre in Johannesburg. From the 23rd to 25th November the rooftop will be home to artisinal brewers, distelliers, boutique wine labels, leather crafters, bakers, tea blenders, carpenters and more. Look out for the christmas cakes made from an old Scottish recipe that has been handed down through the generations at the FoodWineDesign Christmas by the Sea Booth! This year, the organisers are launching the Gourmet Theatre presented by Mastercard. They have teamed up with Cullinary Equipment Company to give South African top chefs the opportunity to cook theatre-style on an imported high-end kitchen inside the Fair. This year's chosen chefs are David Higgs, Luke Dale Roberts and Reuben Riffel. The Gourmet Theatre seats only 42 people for lunches and dinners during the Fair, so booking is essential.
