Ross Sleet joins DGB wine marketing divisionPublished: July 31, 2012
Ross Sleet is a wine tourism and marketing specialist, educated at the University of Cape Town and the Royal Agricultural College in Gloucestershire, England where he obtained an MBA in Wine Business. After 10 years in the United Kingdom, and tenures with Matthew Clark and Constellation Europe, Sleet returned to South Africa in 2006 and joined Kleine Zalze Wines as Sales and Marketing Manager. More recently, Sleet and wife Jan have run a successful wine focused management and marketing consultancy in Stellenbosch. “I am delighted to be joining DGB, one of South Africa’s more dynamic and forward thinking wine businesses,” says Sleet. “Wine brands such as Boschendal and Bellingham are benchmarks of quality and resonate with heritage that is tangible. To be a part of their continued evolution is a privilege.” Sleet takes the reins from Brad Gold who is moving to the DGB International Division as Marketing Manager. “My desire is to have new consumers engage with DGB’s range of wines, helping to position the brands for the future via innovative wines such as the Brampton range,” comments Sleet. DGB welcome Sleet with every confidence that his significant talent and experience will reinforce Boschendal as one of South Africa’s premier wine brands and tourism destinations as well as boosting the Brampton brand. |
