Bring the family and soak up the fun at Bushman's Kloof

Published: September 27, 2012

December is a time for families to unite and spend some relaxing, quality time together after a long year, and there is no better place to do so than at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness and Wellness Retreat.

Recently voted one of the Top 20 Travel Experiences in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Top 100 Travel Awards for 2012, Bushmans Kloof offers special Family Fun packages on select dates during the school holidays. Taking place from the 9th to the 12th of December 2012, a 3-night package will be presented where children of all ages will be welcomed with a jam packed programme that includes family outings, as well as special supervised children’s activities too. The package caters for families with children between the ages of six and twelve years, though older siblings are welcome too.

A special children’s programme has been designed and incorporated into an exciting wilderness experience for everyone to enjoy. The little ones will be entertained with child-friendly activities that include night rides, sporting activities and a fun option of camping out in the reserve on the last night. Early children’s suppers afford some quiet time for Mom and Dad to indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy a romantic gourmet dinner for two offered at any of the breathtaking dining venues.

An authentic family fun adventure in the great outdoors, the Bushmans Kloof Family Fun packages are designed for all generations to share. Family time together can be spent exploring ancient San Rock Art sites, experiencing the spectacular sunset nature drives, mountain biking or hiking through the reserve, or trying your hand at canoeing or fishing. With crystal clear water falls, natural rock pools, four swimming pools and an abundance of flora and fauna, children will be occupied with many enjoyable things to do. Whatever the choice, there is ample opportunity to strengthen family ties and enjoy the generous hospitality and passionate service that will make for an unforgettable, five-star family holiday.

Rates are fully inclusive of full board, luxury accommodation for 3 nights, all meals, evening nature drives, early morning guided rock art excursions, lodge activities as well as the supervised children’s programme, from R6615 per person sharing, R2680 for children between three and five, and R4725 between six and 12 years old. Babies under the age of two stay free and babysitting services are available at a nominal fee.
